The South End resembles the Back Bay with its brick rowhomes and brownstones. With more, shorter, tree lined streets the South End has been regarded for having more of a neighborhood like setting. Some of the city’s most beautiful real estate with parks and squares abundant throughout are found here. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and preserved by the South End Historical Society and Landmarks Commission, the South End has maintained its historic character.
The South End has become a very popular place to live. Young professionals, couples of all ages and even families with small children have been making it a bustling neighborhood since the late 1900’s. Many artists are found in the SoWa District as well as numerous restaurants. In more recent years the SoWa District has seen increased traffic and popularity with many restaurants, services as well as residential buildings being built.
